Environmental Equipment

There is an increasing global focus on flue gas emission reduction and control from many different sources. Tightening international and national regulations on flue gas emissions are gradually being implemented. Complying with regulations is a driving force for any operation involving combustion processes. In order to achieve compliance with the environmental regulations, extensive development resources are allocated to the development of emission reduction and continuous emission monitoring solutions for gasses including NOx, SOx, CO2, PM and other polluting gasses.

Today, Green Instruments is one of the leading suppliers of emission monitoring systems for the marine industry. In 1999, when Green Instruments was formed, the G1000 Smoke Density Monitor was the very first product. By now, more than 1000 of these systems have been delivered to vessels and boiler manufacturers worldwide. In recent years, the business has also expanded in the land market.

NOx Emission Monitoring

For NOx emission monitoring, Green Instruments offers an in-situ monitoring solution which allows the direct measurement of NOx in hot, wet flue gas. Our G4100 NOx/O2 Analyzing System is based on the newest zirconia (ZrO2) sensor technology. The system is simple and robust and can be used to monitor NOx emission from any combustion and industrial process.

Continuous Emission Monitoring System

Green Instruments has many years of experience working with multi-gas emission measurements as well and we are familiar with different in-situ measuring technologies. At the moment, we are developing a new continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) which measures gasses including NOx, O2, SO2, CO2, CO, NH3 and particulate matter (PM).

Green Instruments provides complete solutions for multi-gas monitoring and reporting systems. Our systems are modular and can be customized upon your specific needs. For marine applications, we will obtain marine certificates for the new CEMS in order to prove compliance with the International maritime Organizations (IMO) requirements on ship emission.
