Green Instruments Secures Contract with Greek Shipowner 28-05-2010
Cardiff Marine Inc. is implementing an upgrading program for inert gas systems on more than 20 vessels. Green Instruments will supply new oxygen analyzers as well as extensions for existing systems. The key purpose is to improve the operation of the vessels by installing double systems for redundancy.
One pool of vessels is already equipped with oxygen analyzers manufactured by Green Instruments. These single systems will be extended to become double systems. On another pool of vessels the existing oxygen analyzers will be replaced by Green Instruments’ double board inert gas oxygen analyzing system.
The double board oxygen analyzer contains two sensors and two analyzers which provide redundancy and uninterrupted operation. If one sensor or analyzer fails, you can switch to the other within seconds and avoid delays or remarks by vetting inspectors. There is no need to replace the entire unit. The equipment will be replaced on an ongoing basis.
The contract between Green Instruments and Cardiff Marine Inc. is a result of the ongoing cooperation with Kaminco in Greece. The agency agreement between Green Instruments and Kaminco was established in February 2009.
"First of all we are very pleased to see the results of the successful cooperation with Kaminco, and secondly we are proud that Cardiff Marine Inc. has decided to replace their existing systems with our systems. It shows that they trust the quality of our equipment and value our service and cooperation." says Poul Sørensen, Director of Green Instruments.
