NOx Emissions

Monitoring the NOx concentration in gas emissions will help you not only to comply with regulations, but also to control combustion and post-combustion processes. More stringent emissions requirements have increased the need for NOx reduction and monitoring solutions.

Various after-treatment technologies including selective catalytic reduction (SCR), selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR), and exhaust gas re-circulation are used for NOx reduction. These systems require simple, reliable, and cost effective NOx monitoring solutions not only to document compliance with the reduction regulations, but also to trim control the process by using real time NOx data.

Optimize the Fuel Consumption by Monitoring the NOx Content

Monitoring the NOx content and excess oxygen in flue gas is also used to adjust the fuel and airflow ratio and by that optimizing fuel consumption. Furthermore, this is a good performance indicator of an engine or boiler’s combustion which enables the detection of faulty operation at an early stage.

We have more than 10 years of experience in monitoring and analyzing exhaust gases on ocean going vessels. In 2000, we installed the first NOx analyzing system on a cruise ship.
